Mince & Cheese Pie

Method

Fry the onions in the olive oil until soft, add the beef mince and brown lightly.

Add the grated zucchini, carrot and Urban Appetite Roasted Capsicum & Mild Chilli Sauté Sauce and allow to simmer for 30 minutes.

Season with salt and pepper and allow it to cool.

When the meat is cool, place it in a pie plate and top with grated mozzarella cheese.

Roll out the pastry and place on top of the cheese, seal in the edges and brush with egg wash to give a nice golden colour.

Bake the pie at 220°C for 20 minutes.

GLUTEN FREE OPTION Replace the pastry lid by using mashed or grated Kumara.
