Beef Yorkshire Puddings

Ingredients

Beef in a Merlot & Mushroom Sauce Yorkshire Puddings
  • 250ml All Purpose Flour
  • 2 Eggs, lightly beaten with a fork
  • 250ml Milk
  • 2.5ml Salt


Method

Sift the flour and salt into a bowl and make a well in the centre.
Pour in the egg and half of the milk, beat with a wooden spoon until large bubbles form on the surface.
Add the remaining milk and allow the mixture to rest for 30 minutes in the fridge.

Using the Newwave ‘5 in 1’ Multi Cooker, select the ‘brown’ button and press ‘start’.
Add the olive oil and spring onions and fry for 1-2 minutes.

Add the beef cubes in batches until well browned. Select the ‘cancel’ button and add the 1 bottle Urban Appetite Merlot & Mushroom Sauté Sauce, fresh cream and sprigs of thyme.

Using the Newwave ‘5 in 1’ Multi Cooker, this recipe can be prepared using the ‘slow cooker’ function or the ‘pressure cooker’ function if you are in a hurry to get your meal prepared.

While your beef is cooking, bake your Yorkshire puddings. Place 10ml of oil in each muffin tin and allow the oil and pans to heat up.

Remove from the oven and pour the batter into the hot pans until the tins are half full.
Bake at 200°C for 20 minutes or until cooked and golden brown.

Season your beef with salt and pepper and serve in your Yorkshire Puddings with seasonal vegetables
